Hi everyone. I took my written test last month and did my first interview. I was wondering what the average wait time is for the next step.

It all depends on your station and who's handling your process, but it should be within a couple of weeks. You'll be starting the background process by filling out a long application.

No, if you've already done that then you're ahead of the game. May take a couple of months to get your background done depending on how busy they are.

Scott,
Do you know how long the background is once you have taken the poly? I believe the next step is to go out and talk to my neighbors and wife. After that step, what is next? Thanks!

It really varies, but usually your poly is on the tail end of the investigation. So hopefully not too much longer.
